The Humanitarian Affairs Department is saddled with the responsibility of coordination all humanitarian interventions for the Ministry. They also mobilize and coordinate effective principles humanitarian actions in partnership with Local actors (NGOs), International NGOs, United Nation Agencies CSOs, development partners and other MDAs that render assistance to the vulnerable population. They ensure holistic coordination of all sectors in collaboration with humanitarian actors in the field for example:
- Education sector
- Health sector
- Water Sanitation and Hygiene sector
- Food Security sector
- Child Protection sector
- Livelihood Support sector
- Psychosocial sector
- Nutrition Support sector
The Department also coordinates strategic partnerships for all humanitarian actors/Strategic partners for the Ministry.
